MERCHANDISE YOUR CLOSET!

I know You might be thinking That “merchandising your closet” is a weird sentence” But it makes sense. A nicely merchandised store is appealing to your eye! It's not overwhelming, and it makes it nice to look through things. If your closet is merchandised like a boutique of you! It will be a great place to peruse through. Here are some tips to try!
  • FIRST-Go through your entire closet. You can even take everything out so,you'll have a clean slate to start with.
  • SECOND-Separate your clothing into sections.

-out of season

- Dress clothes(pants ,shirts, jackets, sweaters )dresses,skirts

-camisoles

-clothes that you haven't worn in over 1 year.

-casual clothes-sweaters, long sleeve T's, short sleeve t's.

  • THIRD -Do the same thing with you shoes, bags, scarfs (if they're in your closet)
  • FOURTH-Now that you have that done Put your camisoles in a place where they're all together (If you want to get really organized separate them by color keeping each color family together from lightest to darkest. Pick an area thats easy to get to for your casual shirts and pants. Put t shirts together. Long sleeve T's, sweaters etc. Do the same thing for for your dress clothes and your dresses.
  • FIFTH-Think about the items that you never wear pile! How much does that stuff mean to you? If you don't wear it and haven't in over a year. Get rid of it! It just takes up unnecessary space.
Put the items that are out of season in storage or keep them in the back of your closet. Your not going to need them for awhile so they don't need to be right up front!

you can do this little by little or make it a day project! Either way life will seem so much easier and playing dress up will be fun again.

NAILS

Nails can be a beautiful asset to your body! In todays day and age you don't have to go to a salon to have nice nails. Although it's nice to be pampered! If you can't afford it don't worry! Here's some ways to keep them looking nice on your own!

1.REMOVING CUTICLE RESIDUE

You can do this in the shower or tub by scrubbing them with a nail brush and pushing your cuticles back. Or you can soak them in a bowl of warm water for a few minutes. The warm water softens the cuticle that's ready to come off.
Soak your hands in a small bowl of olive oil for 2 minutes. you can add some lemon juice or aroma therapy oil to change the scent if you want. This will help ragged cuticles and brittle nails become more resilient.

1.BEFOR PAINTING

File and buff your nails.(It's best to file your nails going in one direction. ) Wipe them clean with alcohol or nail polish remover. If you have any oils on your fingers the nail polish won't stay on very well.

2.PAINTING

Low Maintenance
Add a nail strengthener. This will add some shine on your new fresh nails and they'll stay shiny for days. Using a light color or clear is a nice low maintenance look too

Medium Maintenance-
Add nail strengthener as your base coat and two coats of color with a coat of clear. Apply a clear coat every day! That is if you want them looking nice for more than a day.

High Maintenance
acrylic nails. You have to get a fill every 2-3 weeks but they look great and if your a nail biter this might be a great solution for you.

EYE MAKE-UP TIP

EYELINER

  • To make your eyes pop try a blue eye liner on your top lid and a golden brown on the bottom lid. This will make them pop especially if their blue. Any colors will work. Pull it together with mascara on the top lid.

  • Invest in an eye liner brush. It makes the biggest difference, and you can use eyeshadow as eye liner with this brush.

MASCARA

  • To make your lashes look longer and fuller, I like Estee Lauders lash primer and Lancomes Definicils mascara. Apply lash primer to front and back of lashers on the top lid. Give it 30 seconds to a minute to set I usually apply blush or something while I'm waiting.

  • When applying your mascara start at the base of your lashes on the outside corner and brush all of your lashes moving toward your inner eye. I wouldn't reccomend more that two coats of mascara. If you don't like a lot of mascara just applying it on the outer corner of you eyelid, will make a big difference.

  • If you get mascara on your eyelid or face don't be so quick to wipe it off. If you just let it dry you can scratch it off . This way you don't have to worry about smearing.

  • Other Mascara's that I like and why.

I like Definicils by Lancome because the brush grabs your lashes, the way a brush should. And the formula stays on all day. It doesnt smear and it washes of easly. ($23)

I also like Lash Blast by Cover Girl. To me it has a similar effect as Lancome but the tube doesnt seem to last as long. ($8)

JEANS AND PANTS

THESE ARE CALLED "MOM JEANS" DON'T DO IT!!!
THESE ARE HIGH WAISTED AND WORK FOR ANY AGE! AND THE'RE NOT "MOM JEANS!"

Here's a guide to figure out what to wear with certain cuts of jeans, and which cuts will work for your body type.

BOOT CUT-Boot cut pants look great with a pair of High heels and a feminin top,If your not a high heel kind of girl I wouldn't recommend this type of pant for you. (Tucking in your shirt will make you look long and lean.)

WIDE LEG-With wide-legs jeans, it's important to have the right top to balance the very unique jean cut. A cropped jacket or a tight top will make you look sexy instead of slouchy. Shoe-wise, wear flats. Don't let the shoes take away from the jeans. Unless you have short legs like me wear a simple heel so the bottoms don't drag.

SKINNY-For the ultra sleek skinny jeans, wear a jacket that falls below the hip but before the knees and pair high heels. Heels really help to pull the "skinny" look off and make your legs look sky high. A button-up shirt that is tucked in along with a slim belt will also help you look like a supermodel in skinny jeans. Flats look great too.

BAGGY-If you're a fan of loose-fitting, comfy jeans, make sure you balance out the "boyish" look of the jeans with a feminine T-shirt or fitted button-up shirt. These jeans go best with sneakers.

STIRRUP JEANS-are coming back into style! These jeans are pretty much made for wearing with almost knee-high boot. Stirrups stop the denim from bunching up underneath the boots.

"JEANS FOR YOUR BODY TYPE"

IF YOU'VE GOT A BOOTY-Don't be ashamed, don't try to hide it! Butts are in! Try to avoid low rise jeans! It's miserable having your crack hanging out everytime you bend over,or sit.

PEAR SHAPED BODY-A slightly flared leg looks great on women with a pear-shaped body. The slight flare helps to balance out the proportions of the hips.

PETITE-stay away from capris that are cut too short-they'll only make your legs look shorter. Instead, opt for capris that skim just above your ankles.

Clothing

  1. BODY TYPE-Different types of clothing fit different body types! Just because it's cute on the hanger doesn't mean it's cute on your body type, always try clothing on, if possible bring a pair of high heels,so you can get the true look.

  2. COLORS-Consider your skin tone, hair color and eye color, when shopping. Some colors look horrible on certain skin tones.

  3. PRINTS-When buying an item that has a lot of print or color make sure that you have something solid to go with it. Otherwise you can have too much pattern

  4. LAYERS-Adding layers can change everything about your look. You can use a jacket, necklase, scarf, belt, tank top, etc.
